Аlex Кhоzhay is a husband and father of two from Kyiv. When the war broke out his family business was taken by his wife. Alex devotes all his time and energy to support Ukrainian resistance after the Russian aggression.
In the first weeks of the war, during Russian offensive on Kyiv, Alex activities focused on his home town. As thousands of other Ukrainian volunteers he was evacuating civilians from the fighting areas around Kiev, bringing food and medicine to the bomb shelters across the city and its surroundings.
In April and May Alex’s operations expanded. Since then in cooperation with various Ukrainian, US, Israeli and Western European partners he has been purchasing, renovating and bringing cars to the Ukrainian front units and providing soldiers with indispensable personal equipment such as shoes, helmets, bullet proof vests, tourniquets.
Other activities of Alex include providing humanitarian aid to Ukrainian civilians living in the fighting zones. Alex geographical scope of activity covers entire front line of the Ukrainian-Russian war, from Kharkiv in the North-East to Mykolayiv in the south of the country.
As a volunteer Alex closely cooperates with SaveFOP NGO from Kyiv. SaveFOP is one of the biggest and most effective Ukrainian NGO bringing all sorts of help (from military and medical equipment up to food and all other provisions) to civilians and soldiers along the entire front line.
