Round 4 (February 2022)
Back from Kyiv. On Friday, Febraury 24, exactly on the anniversary of the full-scale war we have finalized the 4th round of our fundraiser. Thanks to your tremendous support ($5200) and a bonus from the Polish Development Fund (+$3500) we delivered:
- 2 x DJI Mavic 3 Classic drones,
- 2 x EcoFlow Delta 2,
- 1 x Starlink RV,
- 1 x night vision Holo HL25,
- 15 x tactical first aid kits,
- 17 x tourniquets SOFT gen 5.
Your donations are already defending Bakhmut. Drones do precision reconnaissance, Starlink receives information for the artillery, EcoFlow powers Starlink. That’s how it works.
Our partners in Kyiv Alex with his wife, Yulia, packed the equipment immediately to their car, left their children behind again, and drove all night to Donbas. This time enemy artillery fire hit very close, yet Alex and Yulia are willing to continue volunteering.
The situation in Bakhmut is difficult, but there is still a rationale to defend it. After one year, Maydan is covered with a heartbreaking, constantly growing carpet of small Ukrainian flags, each for a soldier who died defending the country. Strangely, everybody is drawing on previously unknown reserves of strength. Your support is an important factor here.
Round 5 (July 2023)
The 5th round of our fundraiser is over. This time we raised about 6000 USD which we spent on:- 1 drone DJI Mavic 3 Pro,
- 1 EcoFlow Delta 2,
- 1 combat helmet Maskpol,
- 3 self-inflating mats,
- 3 folding beds,
- 6 tactical headlamps,
- 9 tourniquets,
- Independent financial monitoring of our fundraising campaign.
In order to maximize your donations, we decided to send the equipment with our Ukrainian friends instead of driving to Kiev. All the equipment fit into the luggage compartment of a passenger bus from Warsaw to Kiev on July 23. Then the equipment was immediately transported further from Kyiv do Donbas by our friends from Kyiv, Alex Khozhay, a dedicated volunteer of SaveFOP, and Yaroslav Yaroslavsky from Legion V. It is now used for aerial reconnaissance and special forces in the Bakhmut area. It’s life-saving (drone, helmet, tourniquets) and health-saving (beds & mats).
Round 6 (April 2024)
Here is the report from our 6th Ukraine Campaign, made possible as always by your generous support. This time we raised 36,000 Polish zlotys ($9,000), 32,500 through our online fundraiser and received an additional 35,00 zlotys in cash.
We bought:
- 3 Starlinks,
- DJI Mavic 3 drone,
- DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Kit,
- 12 first aid kits,
- 20 tourniquets,
- 8 military helmet flashlights,
- GOPro Hero 10 camera.
Two Starlinks were sent from Lithuania, where Tomek picked them up, directly to Yarik Yaroslavski of the Legion V Land Reconnaissance Special Forces unit fighting in the Donbas region. They reached their destination on March 23. The rest of the items were taken by Kamil to Lviv on April 1, where he met Lada and Tomek. On April 3 Tomek took them to Alex Khozhay, our partner in Kyiv, who soon afterwards delivered our donation to Pokrovsk.
As some donations arrived during our expedition to Kyiv, a few weeks later we could delivered additional equipment requested by Yarik’s squad:
- 2 foldable field bed Mil-Tec US Style,
- 2 self-inflating mates Luxury Map,
- router mobilny ZTE MF985T 4G.
